About

This blog is primarily a record of my efforts to improve my software development competence.

I work for a small company developing web applications for corporate customers. The application is developed using Windows, SQL Server, IIS, C#, Asp.net and Javascript/JQuery.

Currently my main goals are to improve coding skills across the whole development stack, get better at Test Driven Development (TDD), and make my designs more testable.

Before becoming a software developer I was a physiscist. Math and science are full of great ideas, which I may write a few posts about too.

  1. I am writing a capstone project for my master’s degree in nursing education and I wonder if I could get permission to use the Dreyfus model you created in my capstone paper. I am using it to explain Patricia Benner’s From Novice to Expert theory in a paper entitled…Development of an Educational Model for Nurses on Nurse Mentorship. I will graduate this December, 2015 from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. I currently work as a nurse navigator for a group of oncology patients in a large urban health facility. If you would like any more information you can email me.
